Tours
Guided experiences for schools, youth groups, and visitors.
Guided tours are not required to visit the Sweetwater County Historical Museum.
However, we are happy to schedule tours for school and homeschool groups, youth clubs, community programs, and adult groups. Tours may take place inside the museum or throughout historic Downtown Green River.

Museum Tour
Explore artifacts, photographs, and exhibits that tell the story of Sweetwater County from prehistoric times through modern history. From a dinosaur footprint to a full-size coal car, visitors of all ages will find engaging stories and hands-on experiences throughout the gallery.
Downtown Walking Tour
Step into the Green River Downtown Historic District, located within the community’s original town site. This guided walk highlights historic hotels, mercantile buildings, saloons, and the railroad heritage that shaped the region. The tour includes a climb up the rail yard viaduct — a great place to watch trains pass beneath your feet.
